How to Bring Your Students to Mental Health Matters Day 2027

School leaders are invited to bring students to the State Capitol in Albany for MHANYS Mental Health Matters Day on Wednesday, March 10, 2027. An annual tradition for over 30 years, the day provides a unique opportunity for students to experience and take part in the advocacy process in support of school and community mental health initiatives. MHANYS is once again hosting the day with the New York State chapters of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

Interested school groups are invited to complete the school inquiry form.  A member of the MHANYS team will follow up with you shortly after we receive this information.

What to Expect from Us

We will help you and your school community prepare for a hands-on advocacy experience in the state capital. Once you have filled out the school inquiry form:
