MHANYS is committed to providing schools with timely information to meet the changing needs of students, families and staff. This includes:

eTeachNY: Teaching in Remote Learning Environments
In coordination with the New York State Education Department (NYSED), eTeachNY supports the implementation of Teaching in Remote Learning Environments (TRLE).
We have compiled practical strategies to help educators create a classroom experience that supports mental health and relationship building using daily engagement activities for students; supports personal and student wellness and resiliency; and provide ideas specifically for the virtual learning environment.

The updated SEL Framework includes a focus on culture and climate, and the importance of meaningful community partnerships. There is also intentional language around diversity, equity and inclusion ingrained in each competency. The updated SEL wheel can be found here in English and Spanish.
