Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

  • Participants must complete two hours of self-paced pre-work prior to the live session.

  • Modules must be completed by the Pre-Work Deadline. Look out for the Pre-Work Start Date.
  • Participants must join using a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone.

  • Joining by phone is not permitted. Individuals who join by phone will not be admitted into the course.
  • Full attendance at the live session is required to receive Youth Mental Health First Aid certification.

  • Participants who arrive late or leave will not be certified.
