Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
Trainings are limited to 30 participants in each course and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
REQUIREMENTS

PRE-WORK: 2 hours of self-paced pre-work must be completed 5 days before the scheduled training date.
- ON-LINE TRAINING: You must have access to a computer, microphone, and camera for training participation.
- ATTENDANCE: This is a certification course (not a webinar). Attendance is required. Only register if you can attend.
AFTER YOU REGISTER
- EMAIL COMMUNICATION: We will contact you regarding next steps. Respond promptly. Check SPAM if you have not heard from MHANYS.
- CANCELLATION: If you register and cannot attend or complete the pre-work, let us know immediately. We will ensure all class seats are utilized by giving the opportunity to another person.
